On your own
The old town walk on this site runs in eight stops from the station to the Court Church. Phone audio tours cost around €10, start at the Triumphal Arch and work offline.

A licensed guide costs €140 for an hour and takes up to 25 people, so for a group of ten it is cheaper per head than the Welcome Tour and can be themed: Maximilian, the Baroque, Jewish Innsbruck, the 1809 uprising, the Olympic city. The Welcome Tour is the right choice for one or two people and is free with the Innsbruck Card. Audio tours cost around €10, start whenever you like and let you stop for coffee, but they do not answer questions.
