Does it pay off?

One day: Nordkette return €56 plus the Imperial Palace €16 is €72, already above the €69 card, before the zoo, Bergisel, Court Church or a single tram. Two days with Swarovski (€25 plus €13 shuttle), Ambras €16 and Patscherkofel €33 come to over €160 without the card and €79 with it. If you only walk the old town and ride no cable car, skip it.

What is included

The Ferdinandeum is closed until the end of 2028 and does not really count. The card starts at first use and runs in hours, not calendar days.

Where do I buy the Innsbruck Card?

From Innsbruck Tourismus online and at the Innsbruck Information office at Burggraben 3; it activates on first use.

Does the Innsbruck Card include the Nordkette?

Yes, one return trip to Hafelekar, plus one on the Patscherkofel.

Is public transport included in the Innsbruck Card?

Yes: IVB trams and buses, the Sightseer bus and the Swarovski Crystal Worlds shuttle.

Fine print

The card is personal and runs from the first validation in hours, not calendar days, so a 24-hour card started at 14:00 still works the next morning. Each museum admits once; the two cable cars give one return trip each; the Crystal Worlds shuttle is included but seats are first come, first served at the station stop. Children under six travel and enter free without a card. Lost cards are not replaced.

Card and tickets

The Innsbruck Card is sold by Innsbruck Tourismus; single tickets for the Nordkette, Swarovski and Ambras are here.
